All students in grades 2-5 are invited to write and submit an original poem or short story to be entered in the 2015-16 Young Authors Contest sponsored by the State of Maryland International Reading Association. All entries must be original work by the student, typed with no less than 12-point font using Times New Roman or Comic Sans font. Short stories must range from 300-800 words. Poem entries must consist of a single poem, any style with 25-150 words. No graphics may be included for any entry.
