If you cannot make one or all of these events, information will be provided on our website or through your child’s Canvas page. Kindergarten Back to School Night: Thursday, 8/22 @ 4:00

The audience for this Back to School Night is kindergarten parents. We understand that families may need to bring their kindergartener with them but please know the presentation will not be very engaging for our 5 year olds.

New Student & Family Orientation (1st-5th Graders): Friday, 8/23 @ 1:00-1:45

Our New Student & Family Orientation will include an informative overview of SJLES, a chance to engage with our administrative and leadership teams, and take a tour of our storied campus.

We will post the New Student Orientation on our SJLES website for families who are unable to attend.

SJLES Open House: Friday, 8/23 @ 2:00-3:00

Open House provides the opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, familiarize your child with their new grade level team and our building, and connect with friends and staff.

Parents are encouraged to pick up their child’s dismissal tag in their classroom so they can be extra ready for the first day of school!

Families are welcome to drop off their child’s school supplies at this time.

If you can not attend our Open House please don’t worry! You can send any school supplies with your student on the first day of school. Our staff will ensure your child knows where to go and feels welcome and ready on the big day!

First Day of School for Students: Monday, 8/26

Doors open at 9:10 / Instruction starts at 9:25 sharp / Dismissal begins at 3:55

Please anticipate dismissal taking a little longer than usual on the first day or two of school. A slow and deliberate process helps us ensure all students are dismissed properly and safely.
