The Food and Nutrition Services program puts students first by providing a nutrition program, which is an integral part of the school system’s total education program.
In Maryland’s public schools, if you feel you are being bullied, you have the right to report your concerns and the school has the responsibility to investigate those concerns.
Family File is the electronic format of the Emergency Procedure Card and can be found by logging in to HCPSS Connect. In the Family File section parents review and updatecontact information, medical considerations, privacy preferences, media release and directory distribution preferences. Family Fileinformation must be updated or validated each year
Naviance is a free portal to HCPSS students and parents for career exploration and college research
In 2013, Maryland adopted the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) as the Maryland Science Standards for K–12 science education. The NGSS were developed by a group of 26 lead states, including Maryland, and included input from professional scientists, college/university educators, policy-makers, and K–12 educators to identify the knowledge and skills all students need to become scientifically literate.

The HCPSS Family Mathematics Support Center helps families: 1) Gain a better understanding of their child's mathematics program, 2) Refresh or build understanding of new (or unfamiliar) math concepts, skills, and practices, 3) Provide additional support and practice opportunities for students, as needed throughout the school year.
