SJLES Fall Parent Teacher Conference Overview

 

  • Parent Teacher Conferences present a wonderful and important opportunity for staff and parents to partner together on behalf of the continued academic success and social-emotional well-being of our SJLES Jaguars.   

  • 2023 Fall Conference Schedule  

    • Monday, 11/20 - All Conferences are In-Person at SJLES 

    • Tuesday, 11/21 - All Conferences are Virtual via Google Meet 

    • Wednesday, 11/22 - All Conferences Virtual via Google Meet

  • Fall conferences can be scheduled with English Language Arts teachers and 4th Grade GT Math teachers. 

  • Families can schedule a related arts conference, if needed, to discuss any questions or concerns that are specific to your child by emailing related arts teachers directly.

  • All conferences are scheduled in 20-minute blocks.

    • Conferences will be 15-minutes in length.  

    • Teachers will have a 5-minute transition/preparation period between conferences.

    • All conferences will need to begin and end on time. 

  • Beginning Monday, 11/6 @ 8:00 AM, and continuing through Thursday, 11/16 @ 4:00 PM, families can log on to HCPSS Connect to access Synergy Conference Management.

    • Parents needing assistance should contact our front office staff at 410-313-2813.

  • In-Person Conferences at SJLES - 11/20 

    • 11/20 is a three hour early dismissal followed by in-person conferences. 

    • School maps and signage will be available to help parents find classrooms.

    • Please wait outside the classroom until the teacher welcomes you in. 

    • Visit our front office with any questions.

    • Remember to check out our lost and found during your visit.

  • Virtual Google Meet Conferences - 11/21 & 11/22 

    • 11/21 is a three hour early dismissal followed by virtual conferences. 

    • There is no school for students on 11/22.

    • The Google Meet link will be sent to you with your conference confirmation email.

      • Your child’s ELA teacher will also communicate specifics about this link.  

  • Once you enter the Google Meet, parents will be put in a “holding space” until the teacher admits you.  

  • Because many conferences will be back-to-back, please only log on one minute before your designated time.  

  • If you have technology challenges, please alert your child’s teacher via email. Then call our front office at 410-313-2813 if there is no response.
