SJLES: Bingo 4/12 | ACE Day: Thursday| Yearbooks & Hershey Park: 4/12  May Day 5/11

We hope everyone had a safe and restful Spring Break! We’ve got lots of NEW news for you as the PTA gears up for Bingo, May Day, and Health Minds, Healthy Me. In addition, there is information below if you are interested in checking out a board position on the PTA for next year!

 

SJLES Bingo: Friday 4/12

Tickets are now on sale for SJLES Bingo Night, April 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.! This picnic-style event will be held outdoors on the basketball courts behind the school, so please bring a blanket (Rain location: SJLES Gym). 

Tickets are $2 each, and include cards for 10 Bingo games, a snack, and a bottle of water. You also have the option to pre-order pizzas and salads from Vocelli’s. Registration closes THIS WEDNESDAY!!

SJLES Day at Ace Hardware

 

Spring is almost here! Save the date and help support SJLES. Head on over to Ace Hardware ALL DAY (7am-8pm) on Thursday, April 4 and mention SPIRIT on your in-store purchases. A portion of your purchase will be donated to SJLES!

 

Healthy Minds, Healthy Me Program Launch!

Overwhelmed? Me too. There’s a lot going on right now. We are all short on time, but we can all use some extra support and care - and that’s the purpose of Healthy Minds, Healthy Me. 

Here’s what to know:

  1. We’ve launched Healthy Minds, Healthy Me in response to our PTA’s mental well-being survey to help support the mental wellness of our school community.

  2. Each week we will share meaningful resources to support mental wellness.

  3. To kick-off our Healthy Minds, Healthy Me program, Ms. Diaz and Ms. Poirier (our school counselors) created a brief video (20 mins) that walks through exactly how SJLES supports the mental well-being of our kids - and how our families can leverage the same strategies at home. Check it out!

Want to make a difference at SJLES? Serving on the PTA Board of Directors is a rewarding, high-impact way to help out your community and improve the school year for students AND staff! Most current board members have been serving for multiple years and are going to be stepping down next year to pass the torch. See how your skills could be a perfect fit! Yearbooks are now available to Order!

Yearbook price is $20 each. Ordering available online Deadline: April 12th. You can follow the directions to order below:

  • Go to the SJLES Yearbook Order Page

  • Enter your name and email, then select “Access Yearbook”

  • Enter your student’s information, then click “Submit Details”

  • Choose “Select,” adjust number of yearbooks if desired, and then “Add to Cart”

  • Click “Add a Student” if applicable, follow the prompts, repeating the above steps. 

  • Click “View Cart” to review your order.

  • Click “Checkout” to enter billing information and complete your order.

Two Big Deadlines Approaching

Yearbook Orders and Hershey Park Ticket Orders are both due next Friday, April 12!

All yearbooks must be pre-ordered by April 12 and this deadline can not be extended.  Order online through the Strawbridge website by following the steps outlined right here. The cost of each book is $20. If you have any questions, please send an email to jmi624@gmail.com.

Save $5 per ticket at Hershey Park!  If you’ve misplaced your flyer, no worries. You can download and print a new one here, or order online at the online PTA store.  The April 12 deadline can not be extended - so order today! Feel free to share this info with your family and friends!

 

Ways You Can Get Involved at May Day on 5/11!

Please consider helping us with May Day on Saturday, May 11th from 1p to 5p (rain date 5/18).  The reason May Day runs smoothly every year is because we are lucky to have great volunteers! We’d love to have your help! Please check out these links for a range of fun opportunities to get involved:
