Important News

Students must be registered by their custodial parent (biological, adoptive, legal guardian). Parents can complete a registration form at their school or fill out one ahead of time to complete the registration process.

As part of the ES to MS transition, all middle schools will be holding Parent Information Nights for incoming 6th grade students during the month of January.

Thank you to Mrs. Greta Bock for her service to the St. John’s Lane Community as PTA President from July 2015 - November 2016. Welcome to our new PTA President, Mrs. Melissa Schropp who will serve as PTA president for the remainder of this year.

Ms Amy Leisner - Health Assistant (begins on 12/21) Ms Annie Back - Student Assistant (begins on 12/19) Ms. Drema Justice – Kitchen Manager substitute We are still in process of filling our evening custodian positions. These positions are currently filled by substitutes.

During the Computer Science Education Week and Hour of Code, SJLES ws visited by the HCPSS Superintendent, Dr. Renee Foose. Dr. Foose Visited several classrooms in K, 5th, 4th, and Technology class. For the second year in a row, HCPSS has been named the top school system in Maryland by Niche.com.

The results of the IEQ Walk Through indicate that our building is in very good standing with no major concerns requiring immediate action or an IEQ Concern Form.
