Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent conferences will be held during the afternoons of Wednesday, 2/10 and Thursday, 2/11. Some teachers will host evening hours. Synergy is now closed for parent scheduling. Please email your child’s math teacher if you need to schedule or reschedule a conference.
Logging into Google Meet for your Conference
You will use your child’s HCPSS credentials to join the conference.
You can view the Google Meet Code for your conference in Synergy when you sign up for a conference.
You will receive a reminder email with the Google Meet Code from the Synergy system a few days prior to your conference.
It is critical that conferences begin and end on time.
To prevent “overlap” of conferences, teachers will be using Google Meet room joining security features.
You may have to wait to be admitted into the Google Meet room.

Related Arts Office Hours
Related Arts teachers will be offering office hours to families with general questions about programming or lessons and a limited number of individual conferences to discuss student engagement or progress concerns.

Schedule Changes Ahead!
The master schedule for Thursday’s early dismissal day is accessible below.
School is closed for students on Friday, 2/12 and Monday, 2/15.
Starting on 3/1 our SJLES school hours will be 9:05-3:35 for all students.
In-Person Commitment DUE TOMORROW 2/10!
If you have not already done so, please complete the two-question commitment form in HCPSS Connect by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10.
We have 77 surveys to go! If a parent/guardian does not complete the commitment form by the February 10 deadline, your child will remain virtual for the remainder of the year. Answers to frequently asked questions on student in-person return can be found on the HCPSS Help site and call 410-313-2813 with any questions.
Parents/guardians must be logged in with your own credentials, not as your student.
To complete the form:
Log in to HCPSS Connect with parent/guardian credentials
Select More Options from the left panel
Select “In-Person Commitment” from the middle of the page
Complete the questions in the form for each child and select “Submit”

Lunch/Recess Monitor
This position would begin on March 1st for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
The hours are 11:05am - 2:05pm
The pay rate is $14.50/hour.
Classroom Monitor
This position would begin on March 1st
The hours would be 9:00am - 3:40pm (M,W,TH,F) and 9:00 - 12:00pm on Wednesdays
The pay rate is $14.50/hour.
Close Adult Support
This service is provided to some of our students receiving special education services
Applicants will apply through an outside agency that staffs these positions at SJLES.
Mrs. Redd will guide you through the process!
The position is a 6 hour daily position.
We also frequently need substitutes for this role, so if you are looking for just occasional work please let us know!
